Nokia(Lumia 520) once again proved it’s sturdiness, this time by saving a Brazillian police officer from catching a bullet.
The 24 years old Brazillian officer was heading to his parent’s place during the day to get his uniform washed. On entering the house he saw his parents being held hostage on gunpoints by two armed men. As soon as they saw the officer holding the uniform of military police, the fired shots at him. The first shot missed as the officer started running, but the second one hit him on his buttocks. Luckily he had his phone(Nokia Lumia 520) in his back pocket which repelled the bullet and saved his life. The phone’s screen obviously was damaged.
The name of the Brazillian military police officer has not been disclosed, but we surely came to know about the durability of the Nokia Lumia phones.
The Brazillian officer had Nokia Lumia 520 on him on the time of shooting. The Lumia 520 is a budgeted phone in Nokia’s line-up. It was the fifth windows phone produced by the firm. It was the third best selling phone in The United Kingdom in 2013. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, with a 4-inch screen, display of 480 x 800. The phone comes with 512MB of RAM which I think is quiet fair with this low-budget smartphone.
The display of the Nokia Lumia 520 is quiet good like all other phones of Nokia Lumia series I must say. It is loaded with an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and has the protection of Scratch-resistant glass. It comes with an internal memory of 8GB, which can be expanded upto 64GB. The camera is quiet average (5 MP, 2592 x 1936 pixels, autofocus, check quality).
If we see the battery life of the phone, which according to me is a key feature, then yes the Nokia Lumia 520 has a great battery life. It comes with a 1430 mAh battery, with a talktime of 14 h 40 min if you are using 2G and if you are using a 3G network, then the talktime is of 9h 40 min.
